Soup Hike and Bonfire

PLEAE READ ENTIRE NOTE CAREFULLY.

Steve’s having a Soup Hike at my place in Apollo.  We’ll meet at hisplace no later than 2:30pm, and go for an easy 5 mile hike.  Upon returning from the hike, we’ll feast on the various goodies that people brought.  You should bring something to share with 5 to 6 people.  (Brownies, Apple Pie, Cake, Cookies, Chips, etc.).  There are plenty of outlets to plug in crook pots if necessary.  After the feast, I’ll light the bonfire along the river and we can enjoy the evening sharing tales of incredible feats.  Please bring a chair to sit on around the fire.  Everyone is welcome to camp along the river.

Please, no dogs or other pets.

If you can’t make it in time for the hike, you are welcome to come for the feast or bonfire.

Event Schedule

1. Hike at 2:30pm
2. Feast at 6pm.
3. Bonfire at dusk.
4. Camping along the river.

The garage has full kitchen and bath facilities.  The shower is available to freshen up.  Please bring you‘re own towels and personal items.

This event goes rain or shine.

Directions from Greensburg and points South:

Take US 119 North.

Take Pa Turnpike 66 North.

Take Pa. 66 North to Apollo.  (Watch signs)

Cross bridge, (river), into Apollo and turn right at the light onto Kiski Avenue.

Go approximately 8/10 mile to fork in road – take right fork onto Canal road.  (Paved)

(You can also follow signs to Roaring Run Trail)

Steve house is the 4th house on the left on Canal road.
